WGD Consulting, Inc. was founded in 2007 by Walter G. Davies to provide high quality Unix, Internet, and Software Consulting services primarily to small businesses. Our goal is to improve computer systems in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability. We can also help growing computer systems in terms of hardware upgrades and systems automation. Having over 10 years of industry experience with a variety of different companies gives us the know-how to get your job done right!

Prior to founding WGD Consulting, Inc., Mr. Davies worked for some of Silicon Valley's hottest companies, including Apple Computer, Network Computer, Incorporated, and Loudcloud (now Opsware), before relocating to Oregon. It was here that Mr. Davies began consulting for small businesses in the area before working remotely for a large internet systems provider. Although he subsequently took a year away travelling, Mr. Davies considers Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley his home.

While our focus is toward smaller companies, we can still provide a valuable asset to any size business or project, with individual services also available. Our typical customers have a strong investment in Unix and/or web technology and need ongoing assistance with maintenance, administration, programming, and/or technical support. Typical contracts are 6-month extended term or retainer basis, though short-term and limited-scope projects are also accepted. Our intention is for customers to be able to save time and money by operating more efficiently or being able to scale more effectively.
